"What I learned from change is that when we come together, as one people, with one mind, we make a big difference and do meaningful things that make the world a better place for us, and future generations."

Deng Ring Deng, Mayardit Lost Boys Healthcare Foundation founder

Mayardit Lost Boys Healthcare Foundation's main focus is to create a stable healthcare community in Twic county, South Sudan. We will provide infastructure that has never been developed in a place that has been hurt further since the start of the Sudan's civil war. Having access to heathcare will improve the quality of life for the people in the community.

Sudan is a resilient country that has suffered through many years of civil war; even at this present time there is unrest creating a humanitarian crisis. I was born and raised in this war, have been to many refugee camps, and was given the opportunity to come to the United States.

Coming to the U.S. has allowed me to further my education. I am pursuing a path that has given me the opportunity to set up this healthcare organization as well as to advance my education in medicine. Now I plan to return home to help the people of my country who have shaped who I am today.
